Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris was born on the 20th of October 1964. She is an American politician. Kamala Devi Harris is the first female elected vice president, and is also the highest-ranking female officer in the history of America. She is a senator and former senator from California. Harris was born in Oakland, California, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Her professional career started in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Harris was later recruited to join the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003 she was elected the district attorney of San Francisco. In 2010 she was elected Attorney General of California and was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the junior United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021. Harris beat Loretta Santiago in the 2016 Senate election and became the second African American woman to serve in Congress and the first South Asian American American to be elected to the United States Senate. As Senator, Harris was a vocal advocate for healthcare, federal de-scheduling and the legalization of cannabis, a path to citizenship for immigrants who are not legally documented, and the DREAM Act which bans assault weapons. National attention was gained for her outspoken questions of Trump administration officials during Senate sessions. This included Trump's second Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh who was accused of sexual assault.
