She has guest starred on programs such as Real Time with Bill Maher, Fox News (CNBC), Fox News (Fox News) as well as CNN (CNBC). Ball was married to Jonathan Dariyanani as of 2020. Ball attributes her increased interest in politics to being an expectant mother in 2008's primaries. Additionally, she was a witness to the US elections while living in Jordan. She saw the effects it had on residents of her home country and was inspired to understand the international influence of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st district in the year 2010. She was defeated by Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 to July 2015, she was co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She created the People's House Project (a political action committee that is dedicated to Democratic causes) in May 2017.
